Bilal – “Sirens II” (prod. by Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad)...

Adrian Younge is a producer of stylish retro soul music. He has put out his own albums and worked with the Delfonics, Ghostface Killah, and Souls of Mischief on recent, separate projects. He has also the music composer for the movie and TV series, Black Dynamite. And if the drums sound familiar, but you weren’t familiar with Adrian before this post, then you should know now that Timbaland sampled Adrian’s original track, “Sirens,” for the “Picasso Baby” track for Jay Z. Where does Ali Shaheed Muhammed fit in with the new “Sirens II” track? Along with Adrian Younge, they are overseeing with the production of Bilal’s new album. Now we’re all acquainted, luxuriate in the sounds again and again....

DJ Khaled feat. Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Meek Mill, and French Montana – “They Don’t Love You No More” [tags]...

I keep listening DJ Khaled’s newest posse cut looking for redeeming qualities. Meek Mill comes out of the gate with ferocity. Rick Ross delivers a nice bridge verse well within his range. French Montana is once again relegated to hook-singing and hype-manning. DJ Khaled talks at the end of the record to qualify for royalty checks. And Jay Z somehow finds himself in the studio ready for battle. I mean that was Jiggaman’s goal when he compared some “soft” unnamed rapper to a lacrosse team. Or maybe he had so much to say, you can excuse Jay for flying way off beat on the opening bars of his verse. It doesn’t matter. Mike Zombie delivers a lazy production job taking the “Started From The Bottom” beat, substituting church bells for keyboard lullaby, and adding strategic gunshots. Keep riding that horse into the ground. Overall, this DJ Khaled track is sloppy as fuck. You can’t dance to it. It doesn’t feel like elevating jeep music. It’s just another rap dirge put upon listeners to reinforce our hate against haters....

Daft Punk feat. Jay Z – “Computerized”...

I made a casual check of my Twitter feed and Black Twitter feed and saw this tweet from FKA Hot Karl about a Daft Punk track produced by Kanye featuring Jay Z. Daft Punk ft. Jay Z, produced by Kanye? *every white person drives into freeway median* — Jensen Karp (@JensenClan88) March 10, 2014 A quick Google search later led to a slew of brand new stories linking the track. And many doubted the authenticity of the track like MissInfo and Consequence of Sound. The first clue are the anachronistic bars from Jay-Z (hyphen intentional) mentioning iTouch and Blackberry phones. Plus there are commenters “screaming” that the soundbed is a loop of “Son Of Flynn” with some computerized vocals. Whatever the outcome of legitimacy of this track, it will join the long list of Kanye tracks of questionable lineage or unwillingly leaked to the massive. And by the way, ((((PAUSE)))) on Jay trying to hit them high notes. It ain’t Common bad, but let the singers sing and rappers rap. The Notorious B.I.G. feat. Jay Z – “Picasso Biggie” (prod. by !llmind)...

“Picasso Biggie” is pitchshifted classssic[sic]. Man, I don’t have much to say here. Press play, and when it ends, press play again. Fuck them other songs! Fuck with Biggie!...

Beyonce feat Jay-Z – Drunk in Love (Diplo Remix)...

This track is a heater! Diplo can take anything and turn it into something that you want to flip tables over when you listen to it. This is a pretty good example. Check it out...

Beyonce feat. Jay Z and Kanye West – Drunk In Love (remix – clean) Feb14

Beyonce feat. Jay Z and Kanye West – Drunk In Love (remix – clean)...

An actual remix allegedly. Sounds a bit chopped and screwed. Still has the original’s beat and melody with Kanye’s verse shoehorned in front then Beyonce and Jay. Not a complete mess like the Power (remix). This could get some radio spins. (The Angie Review via...

Rick Ross feat. Jay Z – “The Devil Is A Lie” Jan24

Rick Ross feat. Jay Z – “The Devil Is A Lie”...

Rozay has a preternatural knack for choosing luxurious beats to pair with his baritone drawl. The combination is cake, not some shit Duncan Hines butter yellow cake mix, but multi-layered and decadent like the life he portrays in his raps. But when he is paired with Jay Z (no hyphen), Rick steps up his lyrically. There’s more gusto. More wordplay. And the concepts are higher. While I still prefer “Free Mason” as their best pairing, “The Devil Is A Lie” is great precursor to the Mastermind LP. Enjoy this unofficial fan-made video, as if the Illuminati conspiracy idiots didn’t have enough to work with before...
